This notebook contains one month's class notes kept by Gordon in 1854 while a medical student at New Hampshire Medical Institution at Dartmouth College. The notes describe diseases, diagnoses, and cures. There are extensive notes on lectures on various medical topics by Edward Elisha Phelps (1803-1880), Oliver Payson Hubbard (1809-1900), Dixi Crosby (1800-1873), and Edmund Randolph Peaslee (1814-1878).
